What Does a Shivling at Home Look Like?

Today is Monday, a day traditionally associated with Shiva.

In my home, worship is simple. I offer water to Shiva, and sometimes I place flowers or fruits of the datura plant before Him. I do not use many offerings, and I do not feel that I need to.

For me, a simple offering is enough when it is given sincerely. Water, a flower, a fruit - whatever is offered with devotion is accepted by Shiva.

These photographs were taken at my home shrine during worship. There is a Shivling, flowers and the light of a small diya. Nothing elaborate, just a quiet place for Shiva.

This is how I worship Him at home.
